Asset Protection


Assist in the administration of the development and implementation of programs, which will meet the Asset Protection requirements of Hibbett Sports in regards to the Distribution Center. Assure optimum effectiveness for programs, practices, procedures, and policies, which have a company application to the Store Support Center and apply to all personnel.


This person will report directly to the Regional Vice President of Asset Protection. Positions which will report directly to this position include; Asset Protection Distribution Center Coordinator(s) and Distribution Center Asset Protection Auditor(s).


Supervise Asset Protection Warehouse Coordinator(s) and Distribution Center Asset Protection Auditor(s).


Work with Distribution Center Management to ensure Asset Protection policies and procedures are effective.


Supervise, coordinate, and conduct investigations conducted in the Distribution Center.


Ensure that a Distribution Center Shrinkage Control Rating is conducted and communicated on a monthly basis.


Suggest and proposes the development of new Asset Protection practices in the Distribution Center to protect the company’s assets.


Complete the Distribution Center Asset Protection Performance Package monthly.


Coordinate and conduct Distribution Center new hire Asset Protection orientation quarterly.


Hold losses to a minimum in the Distribution Center.


Monitor Distribution Center employees and activities through the use of CCTV.


Ensure the truck seal program is in compliance with company policy; coordinating audits of the process as needed.


Audit UPS for noncompliance.


Review opening/closing reports of Corporate Office and Distribution Center.


Maintain the card access system.


Inspect trash before discarding in the trash compactor.


Monitor parking lot and dock for shrinkage reduction and safety procedures.


Audit inbound/outbound shipments as needed.


Conduct bin audits as needed.


Supervise, coordinate, and execute the companies risk management (safety) functions in the DC.


Coordinate and conduct power equipment certification classes.


Coordinate and conduct safety meetings with Distribution Center personnel.


Make recommendations as needed to improve safety in the Distribution Center.


Audit and supervise Distribution Center RTV destroy policy.


Ensure the necessary regimen of audits are being conducted by the Distribution Center Asset Protection Auditor to improve accuracy and have a positive impact on the companies bottom-line.


Assist Regional Asset Protection Managers with investigations as needed.



Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
