The Systems Administrator is responsible for the support and administration of back office applications to manage endpoint devices and enterprise IT applications as determined by the Director of Infrastructure and Operations. Performs advanced administration of applications, associated systems, network connectivity, and services. Leads the identification of problems and provides solutions to remediate or mitigate IT applications and or associated processes. Provides input on the redesign and configuration of backend IT applications, systems and services. Plans and implements end point solutions and is the point person for Investigates and analyzes feasibility of system requirements and develops system specifications. Provides a high level of service to the customers of the department and maintains a sense of urgency on all tasks. This role participates in an on-call rotation to support IT applications.


  • Manages the day-to-day administration of Hibbett key back office applications and other toolsets by performing application administration, performance, configuration, maintenance and repair
  • Responsible for the creation of software package delivery through the use of software distribution toolset to all Hibbett end point devices
  • Responsible for the management and distribution of all levels of patching to systems and applications throughout the enterprise environment
  • Works with other IT personnel in determining methods to implement changes, patches, updates to applications throughout the Hibbett IT environment
  • Implements new application implementation plans, custom scripts and testing procedures to ensure application operational reliability
  • Performs troubleshooting as required. As such, leads problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations
  • Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical back office applications
  • Performs the system and user administration of enterprise ITSM application for Incident, Problem, and Change Management. Provides support on additional modules as required
  • Develops tools, procedures, and training sessions for the utilization of applications in support of IT department and Hibbett personnel
  • Protect the company’s assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures, and informing management of potential fraud risk


Bachelor's degree (B. A., B.S.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

ITIL Foundations Certification a plus.
