Overview

The Network Analyst is responsible for assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the organization's corporate network systems and assists with store network operations. This role is responsible for the analysis of networks as determined by the Director of Infrastructure and/or as instructed by the Network Engineer. Performs advanced analysis of networks, and proactively monitors network connectivity, and related network services. Performs a key role in the identification of problems and provides solutions to remediate or mitigate network infrastructure and or associated processes. Provides input on the redesign and configuration of local and wide area networks and associated network applications and services. Investigates and analyzes feasibility of network requirements for systems, applications and develops formal documented network specifications. Provides a high level of service to the customers of the department and maintains a sense of urgency on all tasks. This role participates in an on-call rotation to support the corporate office, stores, ecommerce and onsite/remote users. Experience with retail based networks is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes the day-to-day operations of Hibbett network infrastructure environment by monitoring network performance, configuration, maintenance, and determine solutions to complex issues.
  • Works with network engineer to identify existing legacy network work arounds and implement permanent solutions utilizing existing or new technology
  • Performs troubleshooting as required. As such, acts as key personnel on problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations.
  • Monitors network performance and produces reports on bandwidth utilization and/or network performance
  • Responsible for the network connectivity documentation to ensure Hibbett is in a ready state in the event of requiring the routing of data due to local or enterprise wide disaster occurring.
  • Maintain and follow procedures to maintain security and protect network environment.
  • Stays current with technological developments in networking technology and recommends ways for Hibbett to take advantage of new technology.
  • Insuring confidentiality, availability and integrity of network hardware and software components that provide fault tolerance, load balancing and security of data utilizing network techniques.  
  • Participates in project meetings and supports the Network SME on all facets of the business and IT
  • Follows and upholds the change management process to protect network from unauthorized or untested changes from occurring which can bring down or destabilize the network infrastructure. 
  • Protect the company’s assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures, and informing management of potential fraud risk

     

  • Provides 2nd level support for store network environment and is involved in any store network restructuring

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B. A., B.S.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Current CCENT or CCNP certification preferred.
