As the Benefits Administrator you will be in a key position and will assist in managing all facets of employee benefits in including planning, implementation, compliance and communications. You will ensure that benefit plans are competitive, cost-effective, and support the needs of Hibbett Sports employees and their families.


  • Manages daily administration and compliance for all employee benefits plans, including health, leave management, short & long term disability, retirement, and Affordable Care Act
  • Evaluates data to continuously monitor employee benefit programs and makes suggestions to ensure a meaningful and competitive benefits package
  • Compliance knowledge of 401(k) -- safe harbor -- and deferred compensation plans with weekly coordination of the transfer of data after ensuing accuracy
  •  Audits benefit plans for compliance along with producing reports for future forecasting
  • Administers benefit enrollment process through Benefit Focus and ensures the integrity of the data
  • Compiles, analyze, audit and submit annual 401(k) testing


  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Six to eight years related experience in Human Resources benefits administration
  • Clear understanding of and practical experience with ACA, COBRA, HIPPA and other federal and state regulations governing employee benefits

Preferred Qualifications

  • CBP, CEBS, SHRM-SCP or SPHR designation
  • Infor/Lawson HRIS
