The Site Merchandising group is responsible for product sales, margin and profit for Hibbett’s ecommerce channel. Each site merchandiser will own a specific category (i.e. Shoes, Apparel, & Equipment). Site merchandisers will report to the Director of Web Merchandising. The role requires significant cross functional collaboration with Merchandising, Planning, Marketing & the rest of the Digital Team. It is site merchandiser’s responsibility to bring the merchandising strategy to life digitally. The Site Merchandiser uses sales data, website metrics, consumer research and competitive intelligence to build best in class shopping experiences and digital marketing programs to produce results that align with the company’s business objectives.
Successful candidates are good communicators and are decisive, results oriented, inquisitive, flexible and collaborative, and are comfortable with the ambiguity that is the nature of a new business. The candidate must be analytical, detail oriented, have strong organizational and time management skills. Proven self-starter with a strong sense of product and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; Minimum of 4+ years of merchandising experience with store buying and/or planning experience preferred. The ideal candidate will also have prior success in launching a Digital channel and/or growing a Digital business.
