We are looking for candidates with a background in retail and possibly a degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising and/or Finance.

    The Allocator I role is responsible for the daily decisions that will influence sales and profitability in our stores by allocating the right product to the right store in the right quantity at the right time.  The Allocator I must be able to analyze market trends and conditions, store inventory levels, product content and assortment, demographic requirements to make sound decisions that deliver assigned category sales, margin and turnover goals.  This role requires strong analytical skills as well as being a strong communicator, able to work in a team environment, and able to be a positive influence with other team members. Initially, the Allocator I generally follows the lead of other areas for most decisions, but is expected, as experience grows; to make most allocation decisions for his/her own area.




    1. Per assigned area of business, responsible for allocating the right product, to the right stores, in the right quantity, at the right time to maximize sales and profitability assuring all stores are assorted with the correct product mix and depth.
    2. Work within a team environment collaborating with buyers, planners, and replenishment analysts to achieve sales, margin, and GMROI goals.
    3. Using system tools to analyze business trends communicate with team regarding merchandise movement and provide recommendations to achieve sales goals.
    4. Utilize sell through and market trends to balance inventory levels through inter-store transfers and replenishment from DC Reserve units, as appropriate.
    5. Respond to District Manager and operations feedback and requests regarding quantities and assortments.
    6. Responsible for meeting New Store unit plans and collaborating with the Replenishment team to ensure new locations are assorted with the correct product mix day from one and maintained throughout the first full calendar year.
    7. Participate in End of Month and End of Quarter meetings and provide category specific analysis and recommendations.
    8. Periodically travel to store locations to review product mix, obtain feedback, and analyze market competition and trends.
    9. Review metrics with replenishment analysts to ensure store assortments and levels for each style are being replenished timely, and discuss any opportunities for replenished goods within each store.
    10. Foster an open communication forum to discuss inventory opportunities, potential issues, and merchandise requests.
    11. As a model team member, always be willing to participate and assist when the team is in need including but not limited to: being an active participant; training peers and new team members; and exhibiting flexibility.
    12. Attend vendor meetings with team as needed.



    Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred in a retail environment.
